Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep 2 and 4-legged walkers from the FTH Halloween Walkathon … It was a dark and stormy night … no, wait – actually it was just a cold night when 30 brave souls showed up with their furbabies to enjoy FTH’s 5th annual Halloween walkathon! This year we decided to collect puppy food and leashes instead of donations, and we (and the puppies) are very thankful for what people brought! Even though it was a bit cold (yes, we have to get used to that again) everyone had a blast getting dressed up – check out the costumes!
Speaking of treats, it’s too bad if you missed it – Sarah Coppard donated candies and James Krant baked home-made cookies for the 2-legged walkers. And the 4-legged ones weren’t forgotten – they got doggie treat bags courtesy of Pet Valu Aurora as well as doggie treats from Alison Herridge Glussich! We want to thank all of them for ‘treating’ us so well!
And we also want to thank the volunteers who came out to help hand out the treats (great practice for Halloween night) – Jenni Young, Tracey Wilson, Cheryl McCoy and friend, Nicole and Nathan Mortelliti and family, and Char, Hailey and Lilly Villeneuve.
